Paramedical Sciences, the supporting pillars of modern day therapy, are becoming more prominent in the health care system by rendering their relentless services to the suffering humanity. Vael's Educational Trust runs two colleges under the broad name of Paramedical Sciences, namely Vel's College of Pharmacy and Vel's College of Physiotherapy. The colleges provide excellent educational facilities for the young aspiring students. The infrastructural facilities help to carry out research on par with international standards. The colleges undertake collaborative research projects with various organisations and hospitals.Campus Interviews are conducted regularly for providing better placement for the students. Vel's College of Physiotherapy has been approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu, affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and also recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists. Objective: Physiotherapy aims at physical and mental rehabilitation of the patient and to reinstate the individual to his/her former or other work and social environment. During the comprehensive academic program, the basic and clinical sciences are integrated into: Developing knowledge skills, attitude necessary for competent health education and diagnosis; Focusing on development of clinical & research aptitude; Train the students to practice the profession of physiotherapy in a competent and ethical manner for those who need such services with quality care and humanitarian approach.
