Vel's College of Pharmacy has been approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Pharmacy Council of India. And affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai.

The candidates should fill up the application form issued along with the prospectus and submit it to the college before the stipulated time for admission as per the guidelines announced by concerned University.

Prospectus and application from can be obtained from the college or from our City Center. Cost of the application and prospectus is Rs.150/-, which can be paid in cash or by way of a Demand draft. In case it is needed through post Rs.200/ - should be sent by way of a demand draft or money order.

Admission for all the courses is based on merit and personal interview by the selection committee of the Institution. Applicants who have passed from an institution outside Tamil Nadu, should get Eligibility Certificate from University of Madras. Candidate and his / her parent / guardian should submit a declaration in the prescribed form at the time of admission. The original certificates submitted at the time of admission will be returned only after the completion of the course.

Eligibility:

B.Pharm:
  • Candidates seeking admission in the B.Pharm Course should have obtained not less than 50% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology / Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying examination (Academic Stream) after a period of 12 years of study.

  • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes the minimum marks for admission shall be 45%.

  • Minimum qualification for admission to II year B.Pharm directly (under Lateral Entry Category): Should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy Course as per PCI (E.R. 1991) Regulations and 50% aggregate marks in HSC Examination with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
M.Pharm:
  • Candidates should have passed the B.Pharm degree course under The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University recognized as equivalent by The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and also by the All India Council for Technical Education.

  • Candidates from other than The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University shall obtain an eligibility certificate from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University by remitting the prescribed fee before seeking admission.
