I am happy to look back at the history of Vel's Group of Institutions. I started the Vael's Educational Trust in 1992 in fond memory of my beloved father Thiru. Isari Velan to broad base the education so as to achieve social justice by eliminating disparities and equalizing educational opportunities for those deprived equality so far. I started with Vel's College of Pharmacy and the group of institutions today offers education to more than 7000 students. We provide almost all job-oriented courses in Science College including Nautical Science, Hotel & Catering Management, Master of Business Administration and Master of Computer Applications. The Vel's Srinivasa College of Engineering & Technology and VAMET are located at our South Campus, Thalambur. We are to start B.Sc. Nursing course and B.D.S course very shortly at our Thalambur Campus. The East Campus at Neelankarai houses Vael's Billabong High, an International School. I am proud to state that we offer education from Pre-KG to Ph.D., and also courses in Engineering and Paramedical Sciences. Education is more than just reading the sciences. The Primary goal of our education has to be the development of the human being to be a better human being. I make no compromise in quality of education and our institutions are marching ahead to excel other institutions in this part of India. We have decided to host a new website and hence I request the public and students to use our website and know much of our institutions. |
